Copenhagen V
CULTIGEN - CULture, TourIsm, reGENeration through innovative digital solutions and governance platforms
Location
CULTIGEN is set to benefit all of Copenhagen as it collects data at city level as well as developing a blueprint model for citizen inclusion and tourism dispersal practices that can be applied city wide. Activities on hyper local destination development and capacity building take place in three non-central neighbourhoods, selected by “Local engagement”, “Logistics”, “Existing Values”, and “Area Type”.
Urban authorities
As the Main Urban Authority, the City of Copenhagen plays a pivotal role in the CULTIGEN project as the lead entity driving project implementation and ensuring its alignment with local needs and strategic city goals. They work with project partners and diverse stakeholders to address the challenges posed by rapid tourism growth while supporting community wellbeing and urban identity. The Main Urban Authority also leads the development of the blueprint model for sustainable tourism governance.

DenmarkTransfer partners
Transfer Partners are urban authorities that join the EUI-Innovative Action project to observe and learn. Their primary aim is to enhance the adaptability of the project's solutions to different urban contexts within the EU. These partners play a crucial role in facilitating knowledge exchange among EU cities and fostering innovation. They come from different EU member states than the project Main Urban Authority and participate during the project's implementation phase. Each project generally involves three Transfer Partners. The involvement of Transfer Partners is vital for ensuring the project's innovative solutions are effectively adaptable and replicable in various contexts across the EU.
