2024 Peer Reviews: location, cast and crew selected!
After their selection, a matching process took place, in order to group together the Cities under Review, peer reviewers and experts to support them, ensuring a balanced mix of experienced and new peer reviewers, as well as a good geographical spread. The matchmaking between Cities under Review and Peer Reviewers was made by taking into account Peer reviewers’ knowledge and capacity to help the Cities under Review best tackle their SUD challenges.
We are thrilled now to reveal all the details regarding the 3 EUI Peer reviews which will take place by the end of 2024!
The location
Our 3 upcoming Peer Reviews will be organised as follows:
Peer Review 4: 25-26 September 2024 in Jiu Valley, Romania. The three Cities under Review regrouped for this event are: Jiu Valley (functional urban area, Romania), Usti Nad Labem (Czechia), Prievidza (Slovakia).
Peer Review 5: 30-31 October 2024 in Athienou, Cyprus. The three Cities under Review regrouped for this event are: Athienou (Cyprus), Borgomanero (Italy), Varazdin (Croatia).
Peer Review 6: 4-5 December 2024 in Basso Piave Urbano, Italy. The three Cities under Review regrouped for this event are: Basso Piave Urbano (functional urban area, Italy), Pilsen (Czechia), Vukovar (functional urban area, Croatia).
The cast
During each of the three events, three different Cities Under Review will be the focus of attention and will work on specific challenges related to their sustainable urban development strategy with the help of Peer Reviewers and experts.
Each City under Review will be accompanied by 6 Peer Reviewers: experienced representatives of European cities who are willing to share their knowledge, advice and expertise and provide their City under Review with what it takes to improve their SUD strategy. A total of 54 Peer Reviewers are expected to attend the 3 events. These professionals have either attended EUI Peer Reviews in the past years, or have freshly been welcomed into our pool or Peer Reviewers via the latest call which took place this spring. They are coming from Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Greece, Spain, Croatia, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Slovenia.
