About the Call for Assessors
The main task will be to conduct the strategic assessment and scoring of projects, which will account for 70% of the final score.
The Permanent Secretariat is seeking Assessors with in-depth knowledge in one of the two call topics and an excellent understanding of the current state of the art in urban innovation. The two topics are:
- Energy Transition
- Technology in Cities

About the Call for Thematic Partnership Officer (TPO)
The TPO(s) will play a fundamental role in the day-to-day work of their allocated thematic partnership(s).
The Permanent Secretariat is looking for someone with knowledge and experience in the allocated Thematic Partnership(s) field who can assist with a variety of administrative, organisational, and supporting tasks to enable the efficient functioning of the partnership(s).
The new Thematic Partnerships are:
- UAEU Thematic Partnership for Water Sensitive City
- UAEU Thematic Partnership for Building Decarbonisation: Integrated Renovation programmes and local Heating and Cooling Plans

About the Call for Experts
This open Call aims at selecting individual Experts in one or several of the following three sections:
Performance of an Ex-ante assessment for a future UAEU Partnership:
- Performance of an Ex-ante assessment under the Urban Agenda for the EU on the topic “Compact Cities - Sustainable urban planning and sprawl mitigation”.
General Recruitment of experts for the EUI - Pool with focus on the UAEU and knowledge activities:
- Ad-hoc expertise for tasks concerning the Urban Agenda for the EU/Intergovernmental Support.
- Overall support for the implementation of the EUI Knowledge Management Strategy.
The deadline to apply is 30 September 2024 at 14:00 (CEST).
