The Spring 2025 Peer Review adventure has begun!
Following the October 2024 call for Peer Reviews, EUI is happy to announce that 15 cities under review have been selected to participate to a Peer Review in the first half of 2025.
In total, 18 applications have been received for this role. The selected 15 are currently going through a matchmaking process in order to ensure the best possible groupings and peer reviewers to help find answers to their challenges.
Spring 2025 cities under review member states
In this first half of 2025, EUI will organise 4 Peer Reviews:
- PR 7: 26-27 February in Torrelavega, Spain
- PR 8: 24-25 April in Alba Iulia, Romania
- PR9: Week of 26-30 May, in Sörmland, Sweden
- PR10: Planned for Week of 1-3 July TBC, this last Peer Review of the season will focus on Urban-Rural Linkages for Integrated Territorial Development Strategies and is co-organized by the EUI, the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), and the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO).
Each city under review will be accompanied by 5-6 peer reviewers: experienced representatives of European cities who are willing to share their knowledge, advice and expertise and provide their city under review with what it takes to improve their Sustainable Urban Development (SUD) strategy. These professionals have either attended EUI Peer Reviews in the past years, or have freshly been welcomed into our pool or peer reviewers via the latest call.
If you are a city interested in taking part in the Peer Review adventure, we have good news: a new call is planned to open in March 2025 for the Autumn 2025 Peer Reviews. Make sure you follow our website and social media and subscribe to our newsletter to get all the information.
