EUI Capacity Building Event for Latvian cities
The European Urban Initiative is joining forces with the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development to deliver an interactive event on how to integrate resilience into Sustainable Urban Development strategies, to design safe and secure urban environments.
The event will be held in Jelgava on 23-24 April 2025. It will be fully held in Latvian, with Latvian/English interpretation when needed.
During this event, participants will:
- Get inspired by innovative models, methodologies, for urban resilience designed and implemented by cities across the EU.
- Build capacities on making your urban strategy resilient and developing projects for a city resilient city against climate change and for civil protection.
- Practice what they learned with a simulation exercise tailored to Latvian cities.
This event will also be a unique opportunity to network with Latvian and European peers interested in resilience and build a roadmap towards great European collaboration.
The event is open to the staff of Latvian urban authorities responsible for the design and implementation of sustainable urban development strategies.
