Urban voices speak out: key challenges and needs in EU cities

The first results of the forward-looking survey, which were presented and discussed during EURegionsWeek 2024 on 8 October, provide key insights into the urban challenges, knowledge gaps and support needs of cities across the EU. Conducted every two years, the survey helps the European Urban Initiative and the European Commission to tailor its support to the evolving needs of cities.

Insights into city-region collaboration: building capacity for innovation ecosystems and inclusive economic growth through the lens of multi-level governance

As part of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2024, the European Urban Initiative (EUI) in collaboration with the Région Hauts-de-France, Lille European Metropole and Amiens Metropole, organised a Capacity Building workshop on the role of city-region collaboration in developing and fostering an innovation ecosystem and unlocking inclusive economic growth.
